Mobile office furniture is not automatically included in the trailer price. Some proposals include an agreed package; others cover the building only. Request an itemized list of desks, chairs, tables, storage and installation before deciding whether a furnished rental offers better value than supplying your own equipment.
Build the furniture list around the working day
Count the people working at desks at the same time, then identify meetings, visitors and storage separately. A team of six does not necessarily need six permanently assigned workstations if several people spend most of the day elsewhere. Equally, a small administrative team may need a substantial plan table and regular visitor seating.
For construction office trailers, consider drawings, printers and secure records alongside desks. For a temporary sales office, give attention to customer seating and private conversations. Match the furniture to the proposed mobile office layout instead of selecting a standard bundle because its item count looks generous.
Check the furnished drawing before delivery
Ask for furniture dimensions and place them on the floor plan. Include the space needed to use chairs, open cabinet doors and move between rooms. A 8x28 mobile office can feel very different with deep filing cabinets than with compact storage. Exterior square footage does not show these practical conflicts.
Confirm electrical and data locations for printers, screens and workstations. Arrange equipment so cables do not become an improvised solution to a poor layout. Where the space will host training, compare the teaching arrangement with the training room guide rather than assuming ordinary office furniture will serve the program.
Compare rental furniture with owned equipment
Separate recurring furniture charges from delivery, assembly and removal. Ask whether the furniture term matches the building term and what happens during extensions. If you already own suitable items, price moving and installing them before deciding that using existing furniture is free.
For illustration, a project team expecting several location changes may value a coordinated rental package because collection and setup responsibilities are clearer. A business with established furniture and a single temporary move may prefer its own equipment. These are planning alternatives, not a guarantee that either choice costs less.
Record condition and responsibility for damage at handover. Confirm who removes the furniture before trailer collection and whether unwanted items create additional charges. Our rental extras checklist helps keep those items visible. Compare furnished office prices with your staff count, room plan and rental dates so suppliers quote the same usable workspace.
